Michael and the Lighthouse Kids

I can tell you a few words of Susan Barton from The Lighthouse Foundation. Susan told a wonderful story about MC when he was here in 1994 to do the fundraiser for them.

Michael flew into Melbourne reasonable early in the day. He was in his stretch limo when he first called at Lighthouse and he was so tired, according to Susan Barton, he needed a match stick to keep his eyes open. However, he was more concerned with calling on the kids of Lighthouse rather than sleeping.

Whilst in Melbourne he spent a lot of his time with the children and Susan described this process as MC helping to build the self esteem of the children. What you should understand is that the kids are often from abused homes and they lack self esteem.

He also took chocolates and teddy bears to the home for the children.

Susan Barton spoke so fondly of him and was so amazed that a man such as MC would give his time to help her and the children.
